A conversation with a dear client recently led us to the question – Which great leader we’d love to spend time with, in person, over dinner?

What would we want to gain from this dinner – knowledge and insights? perspective? soaking up their way of thinking and being in this world?

My choices reflect 2 aspects:

  1. The level of knowledge, wisdom or expertise these leaders have
  2. What they stand for, what they believe in, what they fight for and what they are like as human beings

Last week, a great leader passed away – Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

For me, she was an icon – a mother, a wife, a career woman, a policy maker, an iconoclast, an inspiration.

One of my favourite concepts in chaos theory is the butterfly effect.

It is said that the flutter of a butterfly’s wings in one place can ultimately cause a typhoon halfway around the world.  Ruth Bader Ginsburg was that butterfly who’s impact has been felt all around the world.

She was definitely on my list of who I’d want to spend dinner with and I wanted to make this newsletter a tribute to her.

For the rest of my birthday month, I’m donating $10 for every 5 star rating, review and subscription. So let me know if you’ve done one and I’ll be sure to add to my donation amount. (just because they take a while to show on my side).
