Someone once asked me this question, “How do I pamper myself?”

And I had to think about it long and hard. 

Because… It’s not difficult to come up with a list that I would consider as pampering things:

  • Staying in bed till late reading a good book (fiction, of course)
  • Coffee in bed, relaxing until I feel like getting up
  • Visiting a new place
  • A day off with nothing in the diary 
  • A gourmet meal (new flavours I haven’t tried before)
  • A luxury holiday

And I could go on…

But no… 

The real question is do I take the time to pamper myself? Feeling pampered is an amazing feeling.

It recharges, boosts endorphins, lifts our energy and makes us feel really good.

And yet… it is considered a guilty pleasure.  Something that’s maybe ‘not ok’ OR can only happen when our long list of ‘must do’s’ is ticked off OR that we have to earn the right to a good, solid pamper session.

Honestly, is that fair? So, no explanation, philosophising and rationalising necessary – go and pamper yourself!

Just do it. Now!

In 2020 make time to pamper yourself. You deserve it!
