Two weeks into the New Year and it seems like we’re already properly into 2024.
So, as we dive into the year, I want to share a quick exercise that might just help you set yourself up for 2024 in a meaningful way.
So, grab a cup of coffee (or your favourite drink), find a cozy spot, and let’s take a moment to reflect.
In the midst of what has been a tough and turbulent 2023, marked by many challenges, on a personal, national and global level, let’s pause and find strength in our reflections.

This exercise has 3 parts:

1.
Think back on 2023 – a year of ups, downs, and everything in between.
If you had to sum up the worst part of last year in just one word, what would it be?
Maybe it’s a challenge you overcame or a lesson you learned the hard way.
Whatever it is, distill it down to a single word.

2.
Next, let’s flip the script.
What’s the word that encapsulates the best of 2023 for you?
Was it a personal achievement, a cherished moment, or a newfound perspective?
Even in times of hardship, we can find that one word that brings a smile to our face and warms our heart.

3.
Now, here’s the cherry on top. As we step into 2024, let’s choose another word.
A word that will be your guiding light, your anchor when the seas get rough.
Think of something inspiring, a term that resonates with your true self and represents your highest potential. It could be a mantra, an attribute, or even an abstract concept that speaks to your soul.
What is your word for 2024?
By distilling your experiences into these powerful words, you’re not just reflecting, you’re setting your intentions for the future and directing your thoughts, feelings and actions.

Let your words be the driving force that keeps you connected to your true self and propels you to live life at your absolute best.

Now share your words with me…

And for an extra bit of reflection, here’s a gift for you.
