Increasing productivity is stressful. It seems like the more productive we want to become, the more stuff we add to our to-do list which increases stress levels.

Can we be more productive and reduce stress? It’s definitely possible. Here are some tips to try.

Forbes asked their expert coaching panel, myself included, to offer valuable advice on how professionals can increase their productivity with minimal stress.

My view (#13) Take Care Of Yourself First – Sleep!
The most important thing to take care of is getting enough good sleep. In stressful times, we often try to get more hours of productivity by cutting into our hours of sleep. This is counterproductive. Research clearly shows that if we give up precious sleep time, our productivity and effectiveness suffer. We may be putting in more hours working, but those are far less productive. Remember to take care of your energy levels first.
